What is color management, you ask? It has to do with photography, color correction, monitors and printers and all of them talking nicely to each other so that what you see on your monitor is what you get on your photographic print. Believe me, there’s a lot to know. Tom, the Associate chair of the MPS Digital Photography Dept. at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and photographer, wrote an entire book on the subject matter! It’s coming out soon and I was lucky enough to have shot his author photo AND one of my photos of my son Asher (this one in fact: http://jbrownphoto.com/blog/?p=148) is on the cover. Wooohooo!

The book, “Color Management & Quality Output: Working with Color from Camera to Display to Print” will be available from Amazon on February 24th but you can pre-order here!  http://www.amazon.com/Color-Management-Quality-Output-Working/dp/0240821114

Which one was used for the author photo? I like 4 best, but 1 or 2 may be more author photo-like.ReplyCancel
